Alyssa
Murphy Productions (AMP) is currently in pre-production for a new series, exploring the reality of foster care in a
touching, unique docu-drama, that takes social activism to a new plateau. This series will showcase a celebrity as
the mentor and friend to foster children, nationwide. The series will also invite artists and musicians who are also
'adoptees' to perform LIVE, and collaborate with this international icon with a heart of GOLD.
Filming will begin this October
with Emmy-award winning producer, Doug Stanley (THE DEADLIEST CATCH), as our Director of Photography.
Were you a foster child? Did you grow up in the system? Are you a
foster parent? Are you adopted? Are you a social worker? Do you have your own story to tell about the foster care system in
the US or a story about how this situation is handled in other countries? Please contact Alyssa Murphy at friscoyork@gmail.com should you have something to contribute.
This series' intention is to raise awareness about foster care, educate and inform interested adults who desire to
become a foster parent or ultimately adopt a child. We will be raising funds for www.fostercarecentral.org. For more information, please contact Alyssa Murphy at info@fostercarecentral.org.

AMP has been extremely busy before heading full-speed into the next production starring DMC. In June, AMP was heavily
involved in the Duke Ellington Jazz Festival, brainchild of Charlie Fishman. It was a 10-day Jazz extravaganza featuring Paquito
D'Rivera, who also serves as Artistic Director, Terence Blanchard, and the entire Marsalis family who played at the White
House for the Music Series as well as at the Kennedy Center on June 15th. For more info, please visit www.dejazzfest.org.
Just as the festival was gearing down, AFI showcased their annual SILVERDOCS Fest, showcasing some brilliant work
by local filmmakers, a tribute to actor, Michael Douglas, and a particularly enlightening documentary on the street art entitled
BEAUTIFUL LOSERS.
