This is a home page for a new tv series currently in production entitled JUST LIKE
ME. We will be adding snippets of the production including clips from a foster youth rally on the National Mall with our host,
Darryl 'D.M.C.' McDaniels and coming soon, DMC introduces DC and NYC foster youth to members of Congress in a visit to the
US Capitol. If you are interested in learning more, please sign into the guestbook, or email Alyssa Murphy at friscoyork@gmail.com
or info@fostercarecentral.org. Our intention is to affect change on reality by allowing the real
faces of foster care to share their own stories.
What would life be like without a family?
AMP is a production company intent upon raising awareness about
600,000 youth living within the United States, in a thing we call the foster care system. If these kids lived in newly-developing
countries, we'd call them orphans; children that have no family to call their own. As a board member of Foster Care
Central, AMP is diligently working with foster youth and organizations nationwide to shed some light on the real stories behind
this system, many consider to be a revolving door.
On any given day, what is mostly known of the foster care system comes in headlines that lead the reader
to believe this system is flawed and failing. AMP is working diligently to erase this stigma and show the nation and the world
how many amazing and innovative minds are borne out of this system everyday. We allow you a glimpse into children who were
left alone in a receiving home at the age of 5 only to blaze through this adversity to overcome against insurmountable odds.
We are producing content now and we invite all who have a story as either a current or former foster youth, and all the unheralded
heroes that are devoted to fostering a sense of family for these youth, to tell a story never told; their own. Stay tuned...
